Oregon Early Learning Division of the Oregon Department of Education supports preschool services in the U.S. state of Oregon. The division provides three focuses: assuring that preschool children are prepared to succeed in Kindergarten; ensuring stable families; and coordinating effective support for families and preschool students.[1] The work of the division is overseen by a 19-member Early Learning Council and Oregon's Chief Education Office.[1][2] The first director of the Division was Jada Rupley, who served from 2013 to her retirement in August 2014, when Governor Kitzhaber appointed Megan Irwin to lead the Division.[3]
