Software Industry - is this normal feel lost in first month?
I've been working with software development for nearly 3 years, but always in small companies with something about 6 employeers at most. In 17/12/2018 I've started to work in a big company, and I'm still feeling complete lost till now. I mean, I know because of this time of the year the things are different, but I don't know if its normal what is happening.
When I started, no one told me about who was my manager or what project I'll working on. I just stayed here in my chair config my computer and things like that. When I thought everything was fine, I searched for information here. I asked to people who was my manager, what I'll do etc.
So, my manager appears. He told me that I'll be out of projects for now, but when this happens here they ask for the employeers to work in a "inside project". I finished all my "tasks" in about 2 days, 1 week ago, and since that I'm stuck again.
I sent a message to my manager today at morning to ask for more tasks to do, including suggesting new things. But I think he's in vacation.
I dont know if what I'm doing its the correct: Waiting, studying in this free time, and looking for be busy, while no one manager give me things to do.
Its really annoying me be without things to do, just sitting here and being usuless.
What you guys recommend me to do?
Obs:
Sorry for grammatical errors, english is not my native language and I hope you guys can understand me.
